Zoe Schramm
Zoe Schramm '24 is a clarinetist from Holladay, Utah. Ms. Schramm was selected as a Utah Symphony Salute to Youth Finalist ('17) and Instrumental Music Sterling Scholar for the state of Utah ('20). She currently plays principal clarinet in Stanford Symphony Orchestra (dir. Paul Phillips), and has performed as principal clarinetist with Stanford Philharmonia and Stanford Wind Symphony (dir. Giancarlo Aquilanti). Ms. Schramm participated in the Utah Youth Orchestras & Ensembles Young Composers Project and had her original orchestral composition debuted at the 2018 Utah Arts Festival and a second composition for clarinet and strings recorded by the UYOE Symphony the following year. She has played in the pit orchestras of Heathers ('21 - zoom), Le nozze di Figaro ('22), and Company ('23). An active contributor to the music performance community, Ms. Schramm currently serves on the boards of SSO, SWS, and SLOCo. She has participated in programs such as Idyllwild Arts Chamber Festival Intensive ('19), and ARIA International Summer Academy ('21 & '22). Ms. Schramm is majoring in Music, with a double concentration in Clarinet Performance and Musicology. She studies conducting with Paul Phillips and clarinet with Mark Brandenburg and Tad Calcara.
